eventho i sed i was gonna post stuff i got sidetracked. its probably FB. knew it was a bad idea! 1 more week till 'end of year' holiday, i'll try harder for the remaining days but it seems like i'm already in free gear. ehehe. i wonder what's become of the workacholic me. have i grown so old then? i'm only thinkin about spending my weekends in bed and playing with ferdinand. its such a bother to leave the house. putting it like that sounds like boring but actually i'm really enjoying my q u i e t t i m e. the only problem is i tend think too much on my free time and not really happy thoughts. thats natural for dark and gloomy me. after much deliberation ~ however unneccesary ~ i decided that being nice is making me tired, so i'm gonna stop now and just be me. just like in the old days :)

Cheng Ho Tea House

somewhere in old chinatown melaka, we stumbled onto this tea house on a hot saturday afternoon. we were only planning to stop by a teeny weeny while but ended up parking our asses there for a bit. actually it was rather pleasant :)



i am enamored of tea houses, ah! i wish there were some good ones here that i can hangout @! Cheng Ho is not only a tea house but also a museum and theatre. Oh how i wish we could stay for the play !!! i must come again ..... The Madam there was very fixed on us having chrysanthemum tea, so after much explanation we had a pot! ( i would prefer something other than chrysanthemum or jasmine, cos we have that pretty often! ) it was pretty soothing, just right for a hot afternoon! i always thought the art of tea pouring fascinating. it requires grace and patience. something that is not my forte. perhaps that is why i like it so much. i must say, it was really a good mood that day and thanks to the moon cake season, Tea Madam served us some delicious cakes! ho ho nice ! nice !

our very own, Philippe Pappillion! see how he flutters! perhaps another reason i enjoyed that day was because of the good company ... we spent a good day together wandering about Melaka.


there was a lot of lovely 'tajau'. but nothing is in there, not like them chinese movies with brimful of wine. aiya! the good ol days! come to think of it , there were some huge 'tajaus' at our place last time, wonder where it'd gone to? oh well ..... theres also a very tall wooden giraffe statue???? theres a story behind that. something to do with a gift ...?? emmm, can't recall (we also have giraffe at home, smaller version!) but the cooolest thing bout this place is that it has a hidden entrance!!! exit??!! so cool! right? right? i want hidden pathways in my house too! it goes straight to junker street! check it out!



good good. after this i plan on exploring tea houses everywhere. i'm so happy to find another thing to enjoy! by the way, thanks to sister and Ray for the wonderful trip : )

my perfect day ...

Kuta, Bali ~ 9th August, 10 am, Saturday.

finally opened my eyes to greet the day :)

i didnt sleep much the night before but its okay cos i get to sleep in because the order of the day is 'Milly is Queen'.



we started out just walking around kuta. just strolling around like a typical tourist is fun, altho i also live on an island, bali is much smaller and its breezy no matter where you are, so it was a pleasant morning.



i've done most of the shoppin already so i thot to just get some 'omake', but of course i ended up buying a whole lotta stuff! .... and all for myself!

just as i thot my legs would give out, we decided to break for lunch. the food here is great all all the restaurant have such great mood.



yeah, i think i could live here. the tiramisu ice cream is heavenly!



that evening, we parked our asses in kuta beach to send off the sun. it was a glorious sunset. there sure was a crowd! there's a lot of entertainment and eye candy so its no surprise. heh heh. during season, turtles come up to lay egg here but not tonite.



ahhhhh, my birthday dinner ..... went to a classy italian restaurant just by the beach. live music's great, drinks great, food's great ...company's great. heh heh. you will notice we ordered the same thing we ate for jon sang's bday , cos unhappily that time i was sick and couldn't taste a thing. so now i'm satisfied.

after the wonderful dinner, in our room we beep beep beep ........ ehehehe.

the days go by so fast lately, i just take one step after another and just hope that i'm headed the right way. i am directionally challenged. its not a bad thing, not really, sometimes i remember to stop and smell the flowers so to speak and its such an amazing feeling.

something happened recently and i found myself questioning the concept of friendship. all my life its been pretty clear to my what friendship is suppose to be. i don't force my friendship on people, feel free to ignore me if you so like, i'm not an easy person to get along with so i've never expected to be popular. i don't want to be anyway. my trip in life so far i can say, i have 5 very important people that i really cherished besides my family, i'd die for them just as i'd die for my family. in fact they are like family too, i've adopted them. but that's just me, i don't know, well, not really know what i mean to them but i hope its something call friendship and love.

but i have other friends as well and i care for them too. and it does hurt when that friendship is taken lightly. being betrayed by someone you consider a friend hurts like hell. friendship. love. i might be guilty of being to rigid in my views on it and i make no apologies because that is how i plan to live my life.

now i find myself asking what i would do for sake of friendship, because of friendship. when another friend stabs the other am i just gonna sit here and watched the bloody episode? should i just stay out of it? who should i comfort? who shall i betray? will you hate me?

BUT WHY? why did you do it.
you won't say and i can't ask.
while i call myself your friend am i not allowed these feelings?
i'm sorry, i don't know what to do. i can't pretend and i won't forget.

its good that the days fly by and i haven't time to sink into this mess properly. i can say with authority now that ignorance is blissful and yet ... we enter the concept of forgiveness. this another black mark on my report card. GOD forgives, but i'm not God am i? i'm so far far away from it.

Lately ...

despite being feverish and koff-a-lot, it has been quite an interesting few weeks. check it out !



we did some shots of shopping complexes, just to update the database. somehow there was a 'little' misunderstanding and we got 'shooed' off from 1Borneo for shooting without permission! [i said, there was a little misunderstanding!] i dunno if i can show my face there again. mebbe next year. [damn i have an assignment there next month!]



we went around to some of the interesting places of worships! temples, churches and memorials.



updated some shots for hotels too, since i'm working on the accommodation brochure, i've shot tons of hotels! here's the recent ... imperial, le meridien, hyatt and radius.



cos of the many development goin on right now KK's skyline ain't looking good, but here some nice vistas ...



and eventho i was @ the waterfront ... i din't drink a drop of booze. at least i enjoyed the sunset!

now regret ordering the RM41 roast lamb, since my taste buds weren't in order. couldnt taste anything! woo woo! i feel so old, i nodded off @11 last night! in the olden days a little cold and fever like this wouldn't keep me down ... here i am already a week into it. when will i get better?
